Front Page extensions allows you to publish your website directly from Front Page. The advantage to this is that it allows you to use front page's various abilities to create an interactive website.
Before publishing you must first activate front page extensions on your site.
To do this
1: Log in to the control panel - How do I do this?
2: Click on "Web Permissions" (On the left hand side of the screen, the third item under "Admin")
3: The new screen will present you with a username (you can't change this) and request a password and ask you to confirm this password. Enter a password that is alphanumeric and has at least six characters.
4: Click on create and front page extensions will be installed on your website.
5: Go into Front Page and click on publish. Enter the domain, username and password you have just created and all should proceed smoothly.
Important - be careful when adding FP extensions if you already have files on your website as these may be lost in the process. |
