There are two sections to this article - creating e-mail accounts and creating e-mail aliases
Creating new e-mail accounts is easy. Here's how to do it:
1. Login to your website's control panel - How do I do that?
2. Click on "E-mail accounts" which is on the left of the screen, the second item under "Admin"
3. Under mailboxes click "add new mail box"
4. Under box name enter the name of the e-mail box eg) tom or sales. The address for this box will then be tom@yourdomain.co.za or sales@yourdomain.co.za
5. Under full owner name enter the name of the person to whom this mailbox will belong
6. Now enter and then confirm a password
7. Click "Add" and your mailbox will be instantly live on your website.
Creating new e-mail aliases is also a snap.
1. Login to your website's control panel - How do I do that?
2. Click on "E-mail accounts" which is on the left of the screen, the second item under "Admin"
3. Click on "add new alias"
4. You will be prompted for an alias name. Enter whatever you want here - sales or bob whatever you would like the alias e-mail address to be.
5. Then enter an e-mail address that all mail sent to this address will be forwarded to. This can be one of your new website's e-mails or any other e-mail address.
6. Click on add and the alias will be instantly live
TIP : An alias of nobody creates a catchall account that picks up e-mails sent to non-existent addresses at your domain and forwards them to the address specified. Useful if you have customers or friends who make mistakes when typing your e-mail address in.
