Occasionally you may encounter a problem with your ftp.
Before going any further please ensure that your username and password are accurate. Please note that sometimes usernames and passwords are case sensitive.
If you are still unable to connect after double checking your username and password and you are using a firewall or an ADSL connection then try the following:
For Internet Explorer Users
1. Open your control panel 2. Open "Internet Options" 3. Click the advanced tab 4. About half way down the list of options presented find the one that reads "Use Pasv mode for FTP" 5. If this box is ticked then untick it 6. If this box is unticked then tick it 7. Click on OK and try to connect again using Internet Explorer
If you are using a different ftp program then find the option for Pasv transfer and tick it if it is unticked and untick it if it is ticked. You may also want to untick the "Send feat command" option.
If you are still unable to ftp to your site then disable any personal firewalls on your computer and try again.
If you are still unable to connect and you are connecting from your work computer which may be behind a corporate firewall or a proxy server then you should contact the system administrator of your network and ask him for proxy settings.
