HOW MUCH CAN BE EARNED?

To illustrate the potential earnings that our affiliate program offers let's take a look at what a high performing affiliate could achieve by tracking his progress across the first year of his New Webmaster Affiliate program membership.

 Let's assume that an affiliate signs up on 16 December and immediately starts aggressively marketing our services using his affiliate links. 

By the end of February, that's two-and-a-half month's later the affiliate has referred 19 orders to the new webmaster. He has already received a total commission payout of  R 1425. He also has 19 active orders that are generating commission at a rate that will only be determined on June 15.

Between March and June 15, our affiliate refers an additional 29 sales. However 6 of his referrals have decided to close their websites and are no longer active on his account. Over this period he will have received R 2100 in commissions for his orders. He also has 42 active orders on his affiliate account. (19+29-6)

That means that he will receive 17.5% commission of all hosting fees paid to The New Webmaster by these customers. 

For the sake of ease we'll assume that our affiliate recruited customers at the rate of 8 a month and that he lost one customer per month. For ease of calculation we will also assume that half of the customers selected our second most expensive hosting product (Plan C Local - R 109 per month) and half selected the cheapest (Plan A - International - R45 per month).

So his commission payout on June 15 would look something like this

For the next six month's of the year, let's assume that our affiliate slows down a bit. He's exhausted his mailing lists that he was using to market in the first half of the year and now he's relying on other methods (he owns a website or two) to refer customers to our site. Let's say that he can only manage to add another 24 orders to his account and that instead of losing only 6 customers, he loses 9. At the end of the period he has 57 active customers. Now let's calculate his earnings for the period 16 June - 15 December.

A small calculation tells us that for each of the orders this affiliate referred to us - he earned R 209,97. Not bad. But the best part is that his 57 remaining orders (remember we lost 15 customers across the year) remain on his affiliate account and continue to generate commissions. So even if he does no further marketing and let's (for ease of calculation) assume that no more customers withdraw, in the next year he will earn R10 533,60 commission. (20% of R 4389 per month).

More importantly, he can continue to build on the base of active customers that he has established. Over the next year he enjoys not only this base level of commissions but more mile-stone bonuses, more one-time commissions for new orders as well as commission on the hosting fees of these new orders.
